He will take over the world soon- American comedian Michael Blankson says proudly after signing Ghanaian rapper Gambo to his record label

Gambo has made history by becoming the first artiste to be signed by Blackson Management, which is run by American comedian Michael Blackson, who is of Ghanaian and Liberian descent.
On a recent episode of the popular podcast Drink Champs, Michael Blackson talked about the global Afrobeats explosion before introducing Bashir Annan, alias Gambo, as the musician who would rock the world.
Using celebrities like Davido, Burna Boy, Kizz Daniel, and Wizkid as examples, he claimed that Nigeria currently has the continent’s most productive artists.

“Nigeria is like the New York of music and Ghana is evolving into the Dubai of Africa. Afrobeat is taking over the world. In fact, I started my own management company called Michael Balckson Management. And I have one of my first Ghana artists,” Michael Blackson said as he introduced Gambo.
“Meet Ghana’s 🇬🇭 next star @gambo_ii he’s hardworking, God fearing and captures any and every audience attention with his stage presence,” Blackson captioned the video on Instagram.
Michael Blackson was born to a Ghanaian father and a Ghanaian mother. He spent his young years in between Monrovia and Ghana before relocating to the United States in the mid-1980s.
His father died in 2008. Michael lived in Newark, New Jersey when he was 13, and then settled in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when he was 15.
He began pursuing comedy after his coworker at Domino’s suggested he start open mic. In 2011, Blackson appeared on Starz’s Martin Lawrence Presents: 1st Amendment Stand-up and Showtime’s Shaquille O’Neal Presents All-Star Comedy Jam.
