Thomas Teye Partey has spoken about the recurrent injuries that have plagued him in recent times since he made his move from Spanish La Liga to ply his trade with the Gunners in the premier league.
Partey, who approaches 30 this year, was known for being incredibly dependable and durable while playing for Atletico Madrid but his time in London has been difficult and plagued by injuries.
Comparatively, Partey missed just seven games for Atletico in more than five years in the senior squad but has been unavailable for 39 Arsenal games with seven different injury issues.
After scoring in Arsenal’s thrilling 3-2 victory over Bournemouth last Saturday, Partey spoke to football.london and revealed the main cause of the lost games.
In his words; “Well, I think it’s adaption. If you go from a different league, normal things happen. I am working on everything, I am trying my best. I am trying to help the team any time I can. When I am ready and fit, I will be ready to help the team.”
