Days after he made headlines when he said Ghana has only four recognisable artistes as opposed to their Nigerian counterparts who have multiple frontrunners in the music industry, American comedian Michael Blankson has emerged with another bout of controversy.

Recall that the famed American comedian of Ghanaian ancestry while speaking on the American podcast “Drink Champs” mentioned that Ghana has only four superstars namely Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Black Sherif and Shatta Wale whereas Nigeria has over twenty stars.

Despite the criticism hurled at by fans of other Ghanaian artistes whose names were omitted, Michael Blackson has made another staggering revelation by questioning the identity of the award-winning Ghanaian Dancehall/Reggae act Samini.

This came up when Shatta Wale hosted him in his in-house studio and asked him to elaborate on his controversial statement because he (Wale) believes there are more superstars in Ghana than he envisaged.

In words, he has no idea who Samini is because he is not a superstar. Even more astonishing was when Wale asked him if he knows his colleague Jupitar to which he sarcastically quizzed, “Is Jupitar next to Neptune?”

He then beseeched Ghanaians to forgive him for not knowing all the superstars in the music industry
