Who is Therese Coffey ?

Therese Coffey was born on the 18th day of November 1971 in St Helens, Merseyside. She grew up in Liverpool where she started her education.

Therese Coffey attended St Mary’s College in Crosby, and St Edward’s College, Liverpool. She went to attend Somerville College, Oxford in 1989 to study chemistry.

However she was required to withdraw from the college after two years on  academic grounds, after obtaining poor examination results. 

Therese Coffey didn’t give up at this point, she attended University College London, where she obtained a BSc degree in chemistry in 1993 and later obtained a PhD in chemistry in 1998.
